Weight Loss
Many of us have trouble reaching our desired weight, even with diet and exercise. Orlistat can be helpful in people with a BMI of or greater than 28 with predisposing risk factors such as heart disease or with a BMI of 30 in people without risk factors. Orlistat is available over the counter as Alli 60mg and on prescription as Xenical 120mg.
Mysimba is a relatively new drug which is a combination of Naltrexone and Buproprion. Mysimba can be used in people with a BMI 27 and above with predisposing risk factors such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension or BMI 30 without risk factors.
Saxenda contains liraglutide which works by causing you to feel fuller and less hungry. The dose is titrated up over 5 weeks to reach the maintenance dose. Administration is via once daily self injection. The needle is extra fine and hidden away in a pen so that you do not see it, you just push against the upper arm, stomach or thigh and click the top of the pen. Mysimba
Mysimba is a prescription-only weight-loss medication containing naltrexone and bupropion. You take 1-2 tablets once or twice a day up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day. Bupropion helps to reduce your appetite so that you do not feel as hungry and are satisfied with less food. Naltrexone is thought to curb your food cravings which reduces your desire to eat.
Mysimba is approved to help you lose weight in conjunction with an active lifestyle and a calorie-controlled balanced diet.

Orlistat
Xenical – known as Orlistat in its generic form – is a weight loss tablet. It works by reducing the amount of fat that your body absorbs, making it an effective method for those who are overweight/obese.
How Does Xenical Work?
Xenical reduces the amount of fat that your body absorbs by working in the digestive system. The ingredients in this weight loss tablet attach to your lipases (enzymes), in order to stop them from breaking down the fat you have eaten. Fat that hasn’t been broken down cannot be absorbed by your body, so it rejects it, instead.
It’s important to note that Xenical will only break down a third of the fat you have eaten, so for best results, use Xenical alongside a healthy diet.
